Back To School Drive

Recently we wrapped up our very first initiative as an organization with a Back to School/School Supply drive to prepare the children of Blackwell Elementary School for the upcoming school year and to attempt take some of the burden off the parents and teachers of that community. With the help of monetary donations raised by Pig & Brew Restaurant and supply donations collected at various locations including Pig & Brew, Send-A-Chef Restaurant, Brewers Waffles, and Red Dragon Tattoo Shop we were able to raise over $1000 and collect 5000 sheets of paper, 200 notebooks, 50 bookbags, and various amounts of other essential supplies.

In the minds of many our Back to School drive was a great success but we at The Dreamers Academy are rarely ever satisfied and always look towards improving, figuring out what we can be better at moving forward, and simply how we can do more. Next, we are shifting focus to a drive geared to help keep our kids at Blackwell Elementary warm and prepared during the upcoming winter months and we WILL need your help!

Anyone interested in donating or volunteering at DAF can visit the “Ways to help” tab here on our website as we’ll always encourage anyone who can reach out and help us make a difference. Also, don’t forget to follow us @DAFinc on all social media outlets to stay updated as more information will be to be sent out and posted throughout the month. As always, we appreciate you and your help.
